We hear a lot/read a lot about the Kenyans all the time - nice to see an article about the "other" African country.

Cool. There was a good piece in the New Yorker awhile back about Samuel Wanjiru's death. This article reminded me of parts of that piece.
ReplyDeleteAs you may be aware the investigation into Sammy's death is still not closed, as his wife has still not been cleared of nay involvement in him "jumping".
ReplyDeleteThere seems to have been countless articles about Kenya, Kenyans, their charities and their training camps - certainly a large number of British endurance athletes go there every year to spend time at altitude - but in recent times there have been a number going to Ethiopia, which apparently offers some contrasts to the Kenyan experience. A particular favourite is the young lady shown in the March 30th. post - she used to work for Ernest in Monaco and he was instrumental in encouraging to try running full time.
